Post random skinning tips here. Some to get started:

Don't be afraid to make multiple layers. I sometimes have as many as six when I make a skin.
GIMP's script-fu can make some sick textures.
Take Breaks. A frustrated mind cannot work as well as a relaxed one.

actually you could just changed the dead skin if you want it to be simpler than an mst

I got Question , Should I use Gimp to skin or Paint .net ?

I use GIMP. But I like Paint.Net because it can save in .DDS format. So I have both. Just make sure the DDS extension is DTX5 when you save.

I use Photoshop. It's extremely powerful.

I like Gimp but I uasslly use Paint.net to skin
