Operation Dust: Lost Cause

Again, instead of purple I am using the default for your eye's sakes. This is about a weapon of mass destruction malfunctioning, and taking out a half of the united states and some parts of the world. Things go to hell, to say the least...



PROLOGUE

THE FUTURE, a word that strikes images of flying cars, and robots working with us on daily tasks. But the future is not all milk and cookies for a selfish and already selfish world that most know it as in that time. Along with advancement in time, our progress in technology and agriculture both level out to drastic levels that throw off the normal lifestyle we are spoiled with today. The more leisure technology we come out with, the more we think less of survival and more of keeping ourselves entertained. Instead of worrying about what to eat today, people became too concerned what they where going to do that day, week, month, hell they'd get up and wonder what they would be doing this time next year. Basic survival skills where slowly lost. Why? The human race no longer needed to know how to survive. If a storm knocks out your power, you are bored out of your mind. The thought of doing that every day, in the wilderness, scares the average modern human. Seems all good, until people start, to their horror, to figure out what scientists where doing behind the curtain.

In a capitalist world, anarchists where trying harder and harder to become larger, and get us back to the free flow environment we originally had, and the way they want it. The anarchists in the future are nowhere near the ones we lived among in the past. They go through extremes to prove points, in the future. The anarchists, in the future, succeed. They become larger and larger. So much so, anarchists are becoming scientists to become closer to valuable information. They will become larger than the KKK, and do it all behind the scenes. No one in america will be aware that secretly living among them, where horrible people. What they did was worse than slaughtering a home or two, no. They did much more horrid things. They took out cities and cities at a time. Towns and towns at a time. They will almost take out entire states, in the future.


War, another word that strikes views of Valiant men in uniform, fighting and celebrating for the same cause together, no matter what the condition was. But in the future, they are fighting for a lost cause. Support for them will dwindle. No one will want to support them, as they and the U.S Army will be the main cause for poverty in the united states. Most of american income will be hindered by Taxes for the needs of the Army, who will be losing the war with Japan for years.

Ah, the war with japan. In the future, america will declare war with Japan after they use one of the Trade ships as a weapon caravan to supply terrorists in the US, who will then kill Millions and Millions of innocent people. What america will know little of, is that Japan was more well-prepared than they had thought. The atomic bomb had been around for a while, and we managed to use it without blowing the world up. Initially. In the future, during the midst of the war with Japan, in Western United states, (the firearm capital of the world at that time) will dominate Japan. It is towards the end, when it seems Japan is retreating, that they use the Atomic Bomb against us.

The only thing with this one was, there wasn't 1 atomic bomb.

There where several.

The plan was to bomb the centre of the united states, and the southwest area, so that Canada will be un-affected. But something goes wrong. America recieves a tip from Germany (our only allies in the future) that Japan is planning to bomb most regions of the United States.
They ran the numbers a million times. They figured that the north east of america will go unaffected. So more than 90% of the US population flock to the northeast of the US.

The other 10%? people too stubborn to believe such crap.

some 30% of the U.S population dies.

The 30% that died either stayed in the West, or died due to overcrowding in the east.

The western part of the US will produce war supplies and firearms in the future. (Before the war). After they heard that the U.S was partially doomed, they took a portion of the guns with them. But the Boarder of the Safety Shelter to the east wouldn't allow any guns in the facility, so most of the guns where hidden, deep underground in deep underground caverns, locked away, never to be fired again. The only way to access them would be to acquire an atomic bomb and detonate it outside the locked door. That would be a task most people in the post-war west would call Operation Dust. Why would they call it such a thing? Because besides teh carcasses of buildings and structors, it was all just dust and doom.
