WE NEED YOUR INPUT!!

This is a message to all active members! The staff and I are currently trying to add, and get rid off some stuff to make this site more of a "Gaming" site, instead of a "JPOG" site. We would greatly appreciate your input for anything you would want to change or add.

I would say neither.

If you want to expand, you should only include a few games in a genre, and work from there.

Of course. It wouldn't need to simply include games, we can expand the Science/Nature forums for those who have such interests. Our "Tech Talk" forum is in conspicuous need of expansion, too.

One thing at a time, though.

Personally, I think you should focus on improving one section at a time, at least until you have more members.

That's a smart thing to do, especially with newer, revolutionary games coming out for 2011-2012.

I have to disagree with that. The sad truth is that JPOG is a dead game (which is also the reason most JPOG-based forums have died). I would say you could keep JPOG if you want to, but focus on newer games.

Quite true. Might as well make this a general gaming forum. I thought it would be interesting to have a sub-category where you can show off your latest and greatest gadgets, PC rigs, etc.

I think we should just make it where we talk about all JP games. For example, we could talk about our parks on JP Park Builder or compare our dinosaurs' strengths from Jurassic Park Dinosaur Battles.

The problem is that those games are obsolete. The small audience that did play it has most likely long since forgotten or does not care about such games.

Its such a shame too. Hopefully, if Jurassic Park 4 does indeed come out (Comic-Con's little announcement gave us some hope) it might just help revive the dying franchise. So, also, it is the perfect time to possible make this a partial (not completelt) FPS site too, due to it being the main player in the gaming industry. Or maybe simulation games like The Sims.

I think the main traffic for this website would not really come from a wide variety of Gamers but more like the ones that are more interested in Jurassic park games. movies etc.

Thanks for the ongoing support. I hope the site will not die.

It BETTER not die. If it wasn't for this site, I might have stopped making my Youtube vids, I would have a computer replica of the PS2 version of JPOG (no modding, only 3 sites, ect), I wouldn't have gotten interested in forums, I wouldn't have as many friends, I wouldn't have made my JP fanfic series, I wouldn't know how to mod, and quiet frankly be a random web surfer with no goal except endless surfing. So, this site has really changed my life, although I have only been here about 10 months. This site cannot, and WILL NOT DIE![i][u]

I already got an administrator just for having it in my sig on JPLegacy. So, Raptor's suggestion is a really helpful way.

Go for it. Hold the fort. Advertise, do whatever.

You could try getting some people from deviantart create a group there and start adding JP fan art and also offer people to post there work in gallery's here.Example here-

Also some threads on other JP or dino games would be useful,a lot of people just skip reading forums if they see the dates on threads are all old.Other than that maybe update the look of the site just to make it a little more appealing(no offence).
