how to mod a spino?

Hi im new here and i saw the Megaraptor thegrimmshow made and i was wondering how to remove the sail of a spino? please reply so i can make a irritator and a suchomimus with ease.

When you create a skin eliminates the sail.

That doesn't tell him much.

Now I am not an expert at skinning, but I belive theres something about an Alpha layer, which is in GIMP and PS. Raptors rules might be able to help you more... (I think you turn Alpha off?)

Come on, CH you should know this! When you do it in Gimp you turn alpha channel on then erase the sail.In PS you use the backround eraser and erase the sail.Tada your done.

Why should I know this? I've never done a skin with Alpha Layers, I just whited out the area. Not Like I would know what that looks like since I can't compile skins.

OK this is the answer Use gimp>open layers and find Alpha Channel then click it>erase the sail with the eraser you should see that the sail is replaced by a chessboard like image now after erasing save it and then Bingo you got it

yeah,I did that once.But for some reason(I notice this in many mods that erase a dino's body part)there's always a weird gap.Wonder how we could fix that.

You can't, it would need editing models.The dinos are 3D not 2D.

Oh well then..but I think there's a source code I heard from someone here to edit the models.We'll have to figure that out too.

I prefer to use Paint.net to erase appendages, such as the spino sail + that abnoxious teeth block
