Sorry for unactive ness

Hello everyone. I know I have been unactive and I will tell you why. My computer is messed up, and I dont have a laptop. I can only get on the internet via my Wii, which I am on now. I cant use chatroom, but can still contribute to the forum. So, I am not unactive. If you wanna talk with me, do so on this thread. Thank you.

Interesting, I had no idea you could connect to the internet from a Wii.

Thanks! @Gopher, you can connect a DSL cable to it or use Wi-Fi connection to use internet. My computer has been messed up since June 29th. When you cut the computer on, it says "Starting Up" like it usually would, but once it exits that screen the monitor goes blank and wont do anything.

Um, reinstall Windows or just install a Linux distro?

CDs. Windows or Linux installations work by booting the computer from a CD, not the hard drive, then performing the installation, possibly destroying your damaged system. I'd recommend using a Ubuntu Live CD to attempt to recover your data.

I assume your OS is Windows?

Insert the installation disk BEFORE Windows boots up. If you get any posting, it should read something like: "Press any key to boot from CD." That's when the installation starts.
