OK, heres where you come for .FSM advice and how-tos. I will update it with tips and tricks for you, and keep it very organized.

Where are the .fsm files located, and what do they do?

.fsm files are located in the Units/Win folder. They are basically the fiber and flow to the game, keeping everything in balance and controlling behavior of the dinos.

How do i open an FSM file?

To open an FSM, you have to right click the .fsm file, and click "open with"
then, you choose notepad.
And it will open for your happy-editing and modding!
*if the "open with" option doesn't show up, just double click the file, it will most likely say "windows could not identify how to open this file" or something along those lines.
then, what you do is choose the option "select from list" and then from there you choose notepad.

Simple FSM'ing
FSMing is Extremely difficult and odds are you wont be able to do it right off the bat, so here are some examples. Like, if you go to the SpinAmbush.fsm, you can mod it enough that it goes after raptors less, and humans more by editing the line GrabHumanCheck to GrabRaptorCheck.

Its not ANYWHERE as near as complex as MGs, but lets face it, when new gamers to the game wanna ty to mod it, and go to that fsm section, odds are they will get intimidated by the complex instructions.

Well thats MG ya now them it is always good but hard to there cause they can get rude sometimes but this is great for n00bs so they don't anoy me thinking I'm a mod lol they pm me sometimes what is anoying but this is great!!!

Well, in my opinion, the noobs that are pming you are actually just saving the forum a headache of asking a dumb question, so when they come to you in the PM, you should praise them and try your best to answer.

But they ask about the rules and they give me a headache thats were I get the prob with tem ya now when I get a little rude with them

not meaning to sound dumb, but whats an fsm file? It sounds like a JPOG file, but i dont think ive ever noticed it before

It controls the dinos what they do etc.

Go to the Data folder, then to the Units, then to the Win, and all the .fsm files will be there.

With FSM modding is it possible to make the raptor attack other carnivores like the rex/raptor duel?? That would be awsome!!
