September 11, 2001

Exactly eight years ago (not on the minute, but day), two commercial airliners smashed into the World Trade Center twin towers in New York City, NY, as well as a third into the Pentagon Building in Washington D.C. Countless lives were lost, and it was one of the saddest days in American history.

I live in America and can say it was and still is an extremely sad moment in the United States

i was in 1st grade when this happened. Wasnt phased much. Now that im older, im still not very phased. And i live in the states! even though i dont believe people really jumped from the windows.

well 2 firepeople came to my school one day (they were thierat 9/11), and they said nobody jumped. They were waiting for ;ike a helicopter or something, but the towers fell before air support could arrive in time. Anyone who was seen 'jumping' was actually falling, as if they accidently fell off, such as tripping over debris and such.

And hey, wasnt thier a song for 9/11? they used to play it during crhistmas and 9/11 (it has man steamrollers silent night playing) but now i havnt heard it in a few years.

It'svery hard to just talk about this and remember the dat very hard for me so many sad moments!

Did draco post on it cause thats prob what happen.No didn't now anybody but over 2,000 people died that day now just think one of those as you I will never forget that day it is horrible how evil man can be!

Imagine yourself without your parents so many dead there were about 100+ police officers and thefire department and 2,000+ civilians man can be so kind like the people who gave there lives to save them and how eveil man can be to give his life to kill 2,000+ people how bad can it get!

any yes, people for sure fell, we were debating wether or not they did it on purpose, wich i think they did.

Burn or jump and die instantly........ I wouldnt jump id get butterflies, so to speak.

Besides, removing it would almost be ignoring that which you makes you feel sad and could removing an poignant image that demonstrates the horror of an event.
It captures 9/11 in a picture and reminds us that those who died were individuals, not faceless statistics.
It serves are a reminder of that day, and as such will prevent us from forgetting it.
