Technically they are the same thing

It's only the colloquial definition of theory that conveys uncertainty. Scientific theories are everything laws are, just too complex to be summed up by math

Why would they put theories that they arent sure about in science books? Like, we are learning alittle about it at achool. It HAS been proven. It makes a puzzle if you were the hands of god from above, or in a map.

They will put anything in the science and school textbooks. My one textbook still uses the Aryan invasion theory, which is completely false.

Ok just to settle this when I said "I thinks it's a thoery" I meant that at one time they were connected I never said that I think they don't move ok. silent

The problem with school text books is that the content (in America) is voted on by school boards, who are not always experts in the field.

Essentially whatever the board likes gets in, no matter how wrong it is. Then there has a to be a lawsuit to fix it (see Dover Intelligent Design Trial for example)

Please use punctuation...

A "theory" is something that has not been stated as a fact. In your case, the way you used it in the sentence does not apply to what you said in the quote.

Wow. That sentence proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have nothing more then a limited understanding of what science is, and how it works. In science, a theory is an empirical model supported by the data. It is not just a random guess.

In fact, theories are probably more useful then facts (in science).
