Introduction ~ The Chaos Begins

"Ian..." Sarah Harding whispered in the darkness of there room, poking him lightly. "Ian..." She repeated, this time a little louder. Sarah felt him start to stir, then he finally propped himself up on one elbow and turned to face her.

"What's wrong?" Ian Malcolm asked groggily.

"I think there's somebody downstairs, I swore I heard knocking."

"Sarah.." He said, through almost a laugh. "It's three in the morning, I don't think anybody is outside the door."

"Well go check." She prompted.

"Me?"

"Yes you, who else?"

"Uhh..." He groaned, knowing he'd eventually loose this battle. "I'll be right back..."

Ian threw the covers off of him and slid out of bed. The carpet felt good under his tired feet. As he headed for the bedroom door, he heard Sarah to him;

"Thanks baby!"

Yeah yeah... He mumbled to himself, then he made his way to the front door. That's when he heard knocking, loud knocking, but who would want to come to their apartment at three A.M? Before Ian opened the door, he shouted;

"Who's there?"

"Ian?!" A familiar voice called. "It's Eddie! We have an emergency at the park!"

"What?! What do you mean an emergency!?"

"Maybe it would be helpful if you let me in before Alan busts down the door and we can talk about it!"

"You brought Alan! I really don't wanna' put up with a jackass this time a night!"

"Hey! I can hear you! We have a real issue here!" Alan Grant but in, clear tension in his already rough voice.

"Alright!..and be quite! Your going to make up Sarah." He said as he opened the door. Eddie Carr and Alan Grant walked quickly through the doors, flipping on the lights as they came in. Alan took off his cowboy hat and laid it on the arm of the couch, then took a seat on the couch. Eddie sat down beside him.

"Alright, we have a major problem here, I go-"

"Hold on a second.." Sarah's voice called from the hallway. "I'm in this conversation too." She came into the living room and sat down by Eddie, Ian was leaning against the wall beside the TV.

"OK, as I was saying, I got a call from Peter Ludow, and he seemed pretty pissed. Apparently, there has been a fatality at Jurassic Park."

"Ahh No, I knew this would happen!" Ian said angrily. "No-"

"That's not even the half of of it.." Alan said loudly, cutting him off. "..almost all of the carnivores have escaped, that whole park had literally been destroyed, and it's our job to kill those dinosaurs! Ellie and Muldoon stayed behind, their in the shelter waiting on us. There is just to many dinosaurs for two people."

"Alright.." Eddie said. "We leave here in two hours for Costa Rica, so you guys need to get your things packed up and meet us at the airport by four thirty, got it? Oh, and try to get all your things into something like a backpack, this is only a four day trip."

"Alright, we'll be there." Sarah said, smiling.

"See you guys in a bit!" Eddie called as Alan grabbed his hat and they left their apartment. As soon as Ian knew they were gone, he turned to Sarah;

"Well, we better get packing.." He said as he started to head for their room. Sarah walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his bare back;

"I don't guess you's want to miss packing for anything, right?" He could feel her drawing little hearts down his back with his her finger.

"You do know we leave in an hour and a half right." He said, turning his head to look at her devious smile.

"Yeah, what's your point..?" He let out a small laugh at her remark, then they quickly raced to the bedroom, laughing and nearly tripping over each other to get there.

Alan, Eddie, Ian, and Sarah all stood before the helicopter. The chopper was blue, with the words InGen stamped across the side. Ian took a deep breath and looked at the three standing beside him.

"Alright guys, we ready to hit the chopper?"

"Yep, let's hit the..umm..air." Sarah said, and they all boarded the helicopter. Once they were all in, it flew off toward the rising sun, leaving civilization far behind...
